Monuments examines the mundane and accidental sculptures common to a group of people in a two block by two block area. As a newcomer to a new neighborhood, I felt that walks would be a good way to familiarize myself. During these walks, I noticed a large number of pits and concrete slabs and photographed them as I saw them -- unfamiliar and foreign sculptures.
